She is listed as 'Died on Active Service' in Casualty Communique No. 405, Flight Magazine, July 20th 1944, page 80. Her death was registered at Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Dora Rhoda Dawson is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27) and A17.43

She is also remembered on a plaque at R.A.F. Elvington, York.
