Menin Gate Memorial
He was the son of Isabella and the late J. McCallum.
Morpeth Herald 31/03/1916 carries a brief obituary:
Pte. J.R. McCallum, son of Mr J. and Mrs L. McCallum, North Seaton, is reported killed in action.
Margaret Allison says that his name was found too late to be added to the new memorial.
Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born at Bebside and enlisted at Ashington.
John Robert McCallum is remembered at North Seaton on N33.03
