Morpeth Herald 27/10/1916 carries a brief obituary:
ROLL OF HONOUR
AISBETT [sic].- Previously reported wounded and missing since September 26th, 1915, now presumed dead, aged 38 years, Private Edward Aisbett, N.F., dearly beloved and eldest son of Thomas and Mary Aisbett, River View, Bank Top, Bedlington.- (Deeply mourned).

The Blyth News 22/09/1921 carries the following:
"In Memoriam
Aisbitt - in loving memory of Private Edward Aisbitt, missing since September 18th, 1915, dearly beloved husband of Polly Aisbitt, of Hirst, eldest and dearly beloved son of Mary and the late Tom Aisbitt of Bebside. Will ever be remembered by his loving wife, three sons and little daughter Mary. Still to memory very dear."

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27) and A17.43
