On the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial is the name of 453 Private Robert Hennessey, serving with the Australian Infantry A.I.F. who died 12/10/1917.

Margaret Allison states that in 1911 his address was 16 Tenth Row, Ashington, and that he was aged 38 when he died.

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.06 where his initials are given as "R.C.", and A17.43
