Mrs Hennessey, of High Market, Ashington, has received official information that her son, Private Edward Hennessey, has been missing since July 1st.

Morpeth Herald 05/01/1917 carries a brief obituary:

ROLL OF HONOUR

HENNESSEY.- Killed in action on July 1st, 1916, E. Hennessey, the beloved son of Isabella and the late Edward Hennessey, of High Market, Ashington.

Margaret Allison states that in 1911 he lived in High Market, Ashington, and was aged 39 years when he died.
