In Plymouth (Ford Park) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of PLY/13751 Private John / James Johnson, serving with the Royal Marine Light Infantry who died 27/11/1916.

Margaret Allison states that in 1911 his address was 18 Humber Terrace, and later it was Coronation Terrace, Ashington. He was 19 years old when he died.

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27) and A17.43
