On the Vis-en-Artois Memorial is the name of 10772 Private Archibald Faile, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 08/09/1918.

Blyth News 17/10/1921 reports:

At the unveiling of the memorials in the West End Club (A17.24) Capt. W.S. Sanderson, on behalf of members, presented a case of pipes to Mr. Fail, father of Archie Fail, winner of the D.C.M. and M.M. who was killed.

He is remembered at Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27), A17.08 A17.24 and A17.43
