Crowe, D. McB., Sgt, 1945
In Reichswald Forest War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 3040754 Sergeant Donald McBean Crowe, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 09/02/1945.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:
Sgt Crowe was the rear gunner of Avro Lancaster I HK650 AP-T of 186 Squadron, which was lost on a mission to bomb the Hohenbudberg railway yards at Krefeld. The Lancaster exploded after being hit by flak, and debris was scattered over a large area of Schwafheim, just north of the target area. All seven crew were killed.

Also killed in the same incident was Sgt. W. Stephens

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.43 and at Hirst on H62.02
