The name of Sergeant Thomas Wallace, of 10 Station Houses, Tweedmouth, is given in Northern Cyclist Battalion C Company Memoir

It tells how he rose to the rank of sergeant. He remained with the Battalion instructing recruits. Because of ill health he was designated Category B2, and subsequently discharged two or three weeks before the Armistice was signed.
