In Rheinberg War Cemetery, Germany, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1042115 Sergeant James Robert Henderson, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 26/11/1943.

Sgt. Henderson was killed when Handley Page Halifax II LW242 VR-N of 419 (R.C.A.F.) Squadron was lost on a mission to Stuttgart. The Halifax crashed near Sankt Ingbert, with the loss of all seven crew members.

Halifax LW242 VR-N had departed Middleton St. George at 1701 for Ops Stuttgart It was engaged and hit by Flak units in Saarbrucken. The aircraft exploded and then crashed at St. Ingbert at 2115
