The Berwick Advertiser 06/07/1917, reports:
Private Henderson, 5th son of Mrs Henderson, East Street Berwick. Died of wounds received in action last September (September 1916). A quiet unassuming lad, a great favourite. Went to France in April 1915. Wounded at the Somme - never recovered from his wounds. Served time with Messrs Caverhill & Co as a Blacksmith, removed to Amble where he worked his trade.
Pte. Henderson is remembered at Berwick on B25.01 and B25.08 and possibly B25.19
