In Berwick upon Tweed Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of Lieutenant Cecil Olcher Fedden, serving with the Indian Army Reserve of Officers attached 22nd Punjabs, who died 07/01/1918.

The headstone reads:

Cecil Olcher Fedden was born on the 3rd December 1891 at Streatham, London, baptised on the 10th January 1892 at St Peters Church, Streatham.
He was the eldest of four children to Frederick Player Fedden, [born 29th May 1861, baptised 31st July 1861, Hackney St Peter, died 7th April 1936], and his wife Anastasia Georgina nee Russell, born 20th April 1867 at Plymouth, died 8th May 1903, they were married on the 5th February 1891 at Streatham St Peter. London.

The other three children were Raymond Henshaw Fedden, born 4th July 1895, Barnet, died 3rd May 1917, [he was a 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Company of the Honourable Artillery Company], Kathleen Agnes Fedden, born 19th Sepember 1897, Oakleigh Park, Middlesex, died 8th January 1995 and Frederick Jack Fedden, born 8th Apr 1901, Barnet, Hertfordshire, died July 1996.

In 1901, the family were residing at Richmond Road Barnet, London.
Cecil Olcher was educated at Christ's Hospital Boarding School, house Barnes A, between 1902-1908 at Horsham, West Sussex.

Cecil married Shena Lennox Fraser [born 1894 died 21st November 1972], on the 19th November 1917, it was originally planned and booked for the 3rd December, but due to Lieutenant Feeden being ordered immediately to Italy the wedding was hastily arranged within 24 hours, for the 19th November at 12.30 am. The marriage took place at Berwick Parish Church with a special licence.

Lieutenant Cecil Olcher Fedden of the Indian Army Reserve of Officers and R.F.C., was killed on January 7th, while making a flight from a home station. He was compelled by a storm to make a landing in the sea, and died of exposure before help could reach him. Lieutenant Fedden had served in Mesopotamia and on the Western front, and had been severely wounded in the arm. He was married only a few weeks ago to Shena, elder daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Fraser, R.A.M.C, of Elder House, Berwick.

7.1.18 AW F.K.3 B9521, 1 (Auxiliary) School of Aerial Gunnery, Hythe. Forced landed in English Channel after engine failure, off Hythe. Lt Cecil Olcher Fedden (27) died Capt George Thomas Reid injured.
