On the Runnymede Memorial is the name of 80141 Flying Officer Clive Ronald Murray Bell, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 03/02/1943.

Simon Glancey has submitted he following:

F/O Bell of 266 Squadron was killed when his Hawker Typhoon 1b R7686 ZH-E crashed into the sea off Torquay during a patrol. It is thought that the aircraft suffered engine problems.

His brother David Patrick Murray Bell was also killed whilst serving with the Royal Air Force during World War II.
