The Royal Scots, formerly of the Lothians and Border Horse Regt. youngest son of Peter Purves Boston, of 1, Hawarden, Spittal, Berwick-on-Tweed, and his wife, Mary Anne, daughter of George Douglas, of Spittal; born Spittal aforesaid, 5 Nov. 1896; educated Berwick Grammar School; joined the Royal Scots 14 Jan. 1915; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from 8 Dec. 1916, and was killed in action at Gentelles 31 March, 1918; unmarried
