In St. Andrew Communal Cemetery is the Commonwealth War grave of SAR/277 Private Alfred Stubbs, serving with the South African Railway Overseas Dominion Service who died 11/02/1919.

In Berwick upon Tweed Cemetery is a headstone which reads:

Sacred
to the memory of
Isabella daughter of
Robert and Margaret Martin
who died 20th February 1874
aged 5 years and 3 months.
She sleeps in Jesus free from pain.
Also of the above
Robert Martin
who died 29th January 1912
aged 76 years
Also of the above
Margaret Martin
who died 3rd May 1916
aged 81 years
Also of Alfred Stubbs son-in-law
of the above who died on active service
with the South African Railway Section
11th February 1919
and is interred in St.Andre Civilian
Cemetery

He is remembered in Berwick on B25.01
