Muir, R., A.M.1., 1917
In Jerusalem War Cemetery, Israel, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 28025 Air Mechanic 1st Class Robert Muir, serving with the Royal Flying Corps who died 21/12/1917.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:

AM1 Muir's death was reported in Flight Magazine, January 24th 1918, page 93. It records him as '28025 1st Air Mech. M. R. Muir, R.F.C.'

The Berwickshire News of 08/01/1918, page 3, reports his death:
'Killed (accidentally), Dec. 21, 1917 "Somewhere in Palestine," 1st Air Mechanic Robert Muir, (Rob), 2nd son of Sergt. A. Muir, late Hide, Hill, and now 56 West St., Berwick.'

He is remembered in Berwick on B25.01, B25.14, B25.21 and B25.22
