In Maple Copse Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1596 Private Richard Pringle, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 03/02/1916.

His story has been researched by the Belford Museum and is attached below.

Richard Pringle is remembered in Ancroft on A14.02 and A14.06; in Belford on B16.01, where his rank is given as Bombdr; in Branxton on B56.06, in Kyloe on K18.01 and in the Battalion History
