In Faubourg d'Amiens Cemetery, Arras, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 34215 Private John Mason, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 15/03/1917.

In Rothbury Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
Mary
beloved wife of Thomas Mason
who died at Addeycombe Cottages
May 15th 1915, aged 54 years.
Also of Thomas their son
who died at Silverside
April 10th 1899 aged 11 months.
Also of John Mason, N.F.
their son who was killed
in action at Arras, France
March 15th 1917, aged 23 years.
Also the above Thomas Mason
who died May 16th 1939 aged 71 years.
