Wood, R.P., Stkr., 1918
On Portsmouth Naval Memorial is the name of K/42304 Stoker 1st Class Robert Phillip Wood, serving with the Royal Navy who died 20/01/1918.

In Felton Cemetery is a family headstone for Wood which reads:

John Mackay Wood died 11th February 1913 aged 71 years.
Robert Philip Wood, drowned at sea 20th January 1918 aged 25 years
Annie Wood died 8th Aug. 1925 aged 40 years.
Eleanor, wife of John Mackay Wood, died 12th August 1939 aged 78 years.

H.M.S. Louvain was an armed boarding steamer of 1830 gross tonnage which was sunk by submarine in the Mediterranean on 20/1/1918 with the loss of 244 lives.
