In Basra War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 2581 Driver Jesse Ralph Budgen, serving with the Royal Engineers who died 13/12/1916.

Soldiers Died in the Great War reports that he was born in Hammersmith, London, enlisted in Alnwick and resided in Embleton.

Alnwick Gazette Almanacksays he lived in Dunstan.
