On the Thiepval Memorial is the name of Captain Arthur Cecil Young, serving with the 1st Platoon, 'A' Company, 16th Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers who died 01/07/1916.

Son of Mrs. Selina Young, of Aldersyde, Alnwick, Northumberland.

He is remembered in Alnwick on A11.01, A11.03, A11.04, A11.09, A11.11, A11.22 and in A11.56 page 40, also in Gosforth on G9.05, and in the Battalion History NUT068 page 94
