Herbert was the son of Herbert and Annie residing at 45 Annerley Street, Liverpool in 1901, in 1911 at 79 Bishopgate Street.

108661, Private Herbert Davies, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry) died on the 5th November 1918 just six days before the end of the war, aged 20. Herbert was originally in the South Lancashire Regiment service number 204114.

Herbert was born in St. Helens, Lancs and he had enlisted in Liverpool.

Herbert died in hospital at Alnwick of pneumonia.

His widow was now residing at 79 Bishopsgate Street, Wavetree, Liverpool.

Herbert Davies is not remembered on a North East War Memorial.
