Brodie, M.M., Lieut., M.C., 1917

In St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen is the Commonwealth War Grave of Lieutenant Mitchell Miller Brodie, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 14/07/1917.

In Walker (Christ Church) Churchyard is a fallen and broken family headstone from which the top lines are missing. The rest reads reads:

who died . . . .
aged 66 years
also their son
Lieut. Mitchell Miller Brodie M.C.
12th N.F.
who died from wounds received
in action in France, July 14th 1917
aged 29 years.
Also William their eldest son
who died March 26th 1918
aged 36 years
and was interred at Sheffield
Also Alexander, their son
who died in infancy
also the above
Hannah Brodie
who died September 12th 1924
aged 63 years.
