Coroner's report No 521 19th December 1917.
Westgate Police Station.
"John Roy Petrie Lumsden aged 30 years. Sergeant 4th Reserve Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. Dalton Home Camp, Beverley. Residence No 71 Walker Road, found dead on a couch in the kitchen of his residence at 8am on 18th (Tuesday).
Deceased was found dead on a couch, having cut his throat with a razor, and died from his injuries, but what state of mind he was in at the time, there is no evidence before the jury to show."
Note the CWGC entry shows him to be in the 1st/6th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers. It also does not include the name "Petrie".
