The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 14/11/1921 reports:
"Gordon Allison, from school, passed as a cadet into the Indian Army, and after a short period of training at the Indian Sandhurst, was given a commission in the Ghurkas. He was on detached duty when he fell in a brave endeavour to stop an onward rush of the natives in a sudden rising. Born under the shadow of St.Peter's Church, deceased lived there all his life until he passed out into the greater world."
Gordon Allison is remembered in Newcastle on NUT030 and NUT063
