In Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Old Jesmond) General Cemetery is a headstone for the Bedford Family which cannot be read from the photo. It includes 2248 Private Arthur Bedford, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 30/01/1915.

He died of pneumonia, aged 21.

He is named in the Scouts First World War Roll of Honour.

He is also remembered at Elswick on E35.03 and E35.09
