Brown, A.R., Pte., 1916
In Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, Longueval is the Commonwealth War Grave of 5749 Private Albert Riddle Brown, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 26/09/1916.

Ron Carson has submitted the following:

Albert was born in the second quarter of 1896 at St Anne’s, Newcastle upon Tyne, the son of William and Elizabeth Ann (nee Lidster) of 67 Breamish Street, Newcastle.

Albert enlisted at Newcastle with 14th Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers and was killed in action on 26 September 1916. His body was found at map reference 57c.T.2.a.4.5 and was identified by his disc.
