In Salerno War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Lieutenant Douglas Richard Montgomery Harrison, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 12/09/1943.

Douglas Richard Montgomery Harrison is named on the Scout Roll of Honour 1939-45 as having been a member of the 39th Newcastle-on-Tyne (Cordwainer's Group).

He is also remembered in Fenham on F31.22 and F31.33 and in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 72.
