Duffy, P., A/Smn., 1915
In Lancashire Landing Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of KP/610 Able Seaman Peter Duffy, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 05/07/1915.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

Peter was born on 26th May 1890 and was working as a brass finisher living with his parents at 45, Howard Crescent, Walker Road, Newcastle upon Tyne when he enlisted in the Northumberland Fusiliers on 3rd September 1914. (He had 4 years previous service in the Regiment). Peter transferred to the RNVR on 10th September 1914 and was posted to the Anson Battalion and served in Gallipoli. Peter died at Lancashire Landing on 5th July 1915 from the effects of a shrapnel wound to the abdomen causing internal haemorrhage.

His name does not appear on any local memorial.
