In Newcastle upon Tyne (West Road) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

my dear husband
Thomas Moat
died 19 Nov. 1948 aged 56
Also son Norman
lost on H.M.S. Hood
May 24 1941 aged 19
And dear daughter Beatrice
died 17 April 1967 aged 41
