He was the son of George Harris Moor of Newcastle. An Engineer, he was Initiated into Swinburne Lodge No 2680, Old Assembly Rooms, Westgate Road, Newcastle on the 3rd December 1907; Passed 4th February 1908 and Raised on the 7th April 1908.
He died of wounds on the 7th November 1916 aged 29 and is buried in Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L’Abbe, Somme, France, Grave Reference VF17.
