In Newcastle-upon-Tyne (St. Nicholas) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of Second Lieutenant Roland Walton Stobbart, serving with the Royal Flying Corps who died 06/03/1918.

The headstone reads:

In loving memory of
Roland Walter Stobbart
Lieut. R.A.F.
beloved younger son of
I.W. & M. Stobbart
Died from injuries received whilst
flying, March 6th 1918 aged 18 years.
Also of Margaret
beloved wife of
Isaac W. Stobbart
died March 28th 1929 aged 88 years
Also of the above
Isaac Whitfield Stobbrt
died March 30th 1934 aged 73 years

Royal Victoria Infirmary Coroner's Report No. 101 dated 8th March 1918.

Roland Walton Stobbart, aged 18 years. 2nd Lieutenant Royal Flying Corps: Cramlington. Home address No 29 Croydon Road, Newcastle died at 1st Northern General Hospital at 4.30pm on 6th.

Deceased died from the effects of burns accidentally received by an aeroplane he was flying, falling with him into a field adjoining the West Road, Newcastle, on Sunday 3rd March 1918, and taking fire, but what caused the aeroplane to fall, there was no evidence before the Jury to show.
