In Newcastle upon Tyne (St.Nicholas) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 754108 Warrant Officer (Pilot) Lancelot Cyril Telford serving with the 278 Squadron Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 04/04/1943.

The headstone reads:

In loving memory of
Warrant Officer L. Cyril Telford Pilot R.A.F.
beloved son of Lancelot and Anna Telford
and dear husband of Gladys M. Telford
who fell in action April 4th 1943 aged 27.
Also the above Lancelot, a dear husband
Who died April 12th 1978, aged 88.

He is remembered in Fenham on F31.05
