In Arhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Captain Kenneth Scott Dimmer, serving with the South Stafforshire Regiment who died 26/9/1944.

In Newcastle upon Tyne (St.Nicholas) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

Michael & Eliza Aynsley
Who died 26th August 1896
In her 20th year.
Also Robert Michael,
Their infant son
Died 17th July 1878 aged 1 year.
Michael Aynsley
Died 2nd June 1932 aged 88 years
Followed by his dear wife
Eliza
Who died 1st September 1932
Aged 84 years.
After 63 years of happy married life
“We thank our God for every
Remembrance of them.”
Sacred
To the memory of

Who gave his life at Arnhem
September 26th 1944
Aged 24 years.

Who died on active service
April 7th 1941
Aged 23 years

The Daily Telegraph 01/01/1966 carries an “In Memoriam” notice:

Kenneth Scott Dimmer, Captain and Intelligence Officer, 6th Green Howards, killed at Arnhem Sept. 26th 1944. (Jan 1st was birthday).”
