In Queen's Cemetery, Bucquoy is the Commonwealth War Grave of 235708 Private John Culbertson Burn, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 22/08/1918.

In Newcastle upon Tyne (St.Nicholas) Cemetery is a headstone which reads:

loving memory of
Ralph
beloved husband of
Elizabeth Burn
died 22nd August 1929, aged 67 years.
Also the above Elizabeth
died 17th Jan. 1947 aged 83 years.
John Culbertson, beloved son of the above
killed in action in France
22nd August 1918 aged 21 years.
