In Newcastle upon Tyne (St.Nicholas) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone ofLieutenant Percy Towns Armstrong serving with the Royal Naval Air Service who died 26/05/1917.

The headstone reads:-

Loving memory
of

Lieut. Percy Towns Armstrong, R.N.V.R.
Born December 21st 1885
Accidentally killed at Kingsnorth
Royal Naval Air Station May 26th 1917
Aged 31 years.

Charles Henry Armstrong, father of the above
And dearly loved husband of Isabella Jane Armstrong
Died January 13th 1935 aged 72 years

Also the above Isabella Jane Armstrong
November ?20th . . . .aged ?84 years.
