On the Nieuport Memorial is the name of CH/12349 Serjeant Frank Amos, serving with the Royal Marine Light Infantry who died 05/10/1914.

He was the son of Mr and Mrs. William Amos of Church Street, Walmer, Kent. A Recruitment Sergeant residing at Newcastle, he was Initiated into Swinburne Lodge No 2680, Old Assembly Rooms, Westgate Road, Newcastle on the 2nd December 1913; Passed 6th January 1914 and Raised on the 3rd February 1914. He was the husband of Alice Amos of 1 Holborn Cottage, Kingsdown Road, St Margarets at Cliffe, Kent. He was killed in action on the 5th October 1914 aged 36. He is remembered on the Nieuport Memorial, West Vlaanderen, Belgium.
