On the Le Touret Memorial is the name of 11218 Lance Corporal John Kincaid, serving with the Coldstream Guards who died 21- 22/12/1914.

In Newcastle upon Tyne (All Saints) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

who departed this life
November 21st 1891
aged 5 years
Alexander Kincaid
father of the above
died November 16th 1898
aged 41 years.
Annie Kincaid
wife of the above
who died July 18th ?1907aged ?46 years
Also in living memory of
John Kincaid
2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards
who was killed in action
at Givenchy December 22nd 1914
in his 26th year

L.-Corpl. No. 11218, Coldstream Guards; served with the Expeditionary Force; reported missing 22 Dec. 1914, and now assumed killed.
