In Solferino Farm Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant John Bryson, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 14/10/1917.

In Newcastle upon Tyne (All Saints) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

James & Mary A. Bryson
Killed in action Oct. 14th 1917

Aged 25 years.

Dearly loved wife of James Bryson
Died Nov. 13th 1940, aged 82 years.
And of James, her beloved husband
Died Nov. ?28th 1941, aged 84 years.
