John Mosley was born in Newcastle 1896 the son of Thomas and Mary Ann. In 1911 the family were living at 68 Mansfield Street Westgate, Newcastle.
He married Emily Welsh in 1914 and 2 daughters were born Elsie December 30th 1914 and Violet Gillard born February 28th 1917.
John originally enlisted as 3032 Private Mosley Northumberland Fusiliers but in July 3rd 1916 was transferred to the 12th D.L.I. with a new service number 245180. He was made a Corporal October 24th 1916.
John died in Italy October 27th 1918.
We have been unable to find his name on a North East War Memorial.
