In 1911 John Henry aged 17 years is a tobacconist's assistant. His father is a joiner at a lead factory.
John Henry enlisted into the 20th Battalion of the Durham Light Infantry and died in Italy 10/12/1917.
He is remembered at Newcastle upon Tyne on NUT229
