Sgt Pilot Robson was based at Sumburgh with 269 Sqdn. He was flying a Hudson I P5131 U-AP in an operation over Trondheim bombing the Gneisenau, the Admiral Hipper and the Scharnhorst when the aircraft was hit by flak. Two crew died, one became a POW and the fourth evaded capture.
