In Reichswald Forest War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1077194 Sergeant Norman Law, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 27/04/1943.

Sgt. Law was serving with 115 Squadron. He was a crew member of Lancaster II DS609 KO-M which took off from East Wretham on a mission to Duisburg. The aircraft crashed in the target area, killing all the crew.

On this night, 21 aircraft, with an average crew of 7, were shot down.

It was possibly then engaged by; 2/schw Flak Abt 305, 3 & 4/schw Flak Abt 394, 1, 3 & 4/lei Flak Abt 883, hit and shot down

The aircraft crashed at Sterkrade at 0303
