Horace was in 239 Sqdn. Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve an was the son of Isaac and Caroline Clapperton, of Newcastle-on-Tyne; husband of Ethel Freda Clapperton, of Fawdon, Newcastle-on-Tyne.

Horace Paige Clapperton is remembered in Gosforth on G09.17, in Monkwearmouth in M46.02, page 23 and in Newcastle in NUT255 page 16
