In Newcastle-upon-Tyne (St.Andrew’s and Jesmond) Cemetery is a headstone which reads

In loving memory of
Ruby May Hills
dearly loved wife of Thomas Tindale
died 15th March 1939.
Also Vernon J.S. Tindale, Sgt/Pilot R.A.F.
dearly loved son of the above
killed in operations.
May 26th 1943, aged 20 years.
Buried Uden, Holland.

He is remembered in Heaton on H91.02
