In Newcastle-upon-Tyne (St.Andrew’s and Jesmond) Cemetery is a headstone which reads:

In loving
memory
of my dear husband
James Thompson
died July 14th 1931
aged 62 years.
Also James, son of the above
Private in R.A.M.C. killed in action
at Arras, April 30th 1917,
aged 19 years.

He is remembered in Newcastle on NUT087 and NUT089
