Aged 28 years
The dearly loved husband of Marjorie Hughes.

He is recorded in the 1939-45 Scout Roll of Honour as having been killed in an air crash in Cornwall. He was associated with the 17th Newcastle (St. George's) Group.

Derek Wingett Hughes is remembered in Fenham on F31.22
