Telfer, R., Pte., 1916
In Tancrez Farm Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 20/989 Private Robert Telfer, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 27/07/1916.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born in Sunderland, enlisted in Jarrow and lived in Heaton.

He is remembered in Heaton on H91.24 and H91.25 and in the Battalion History page 50
