who died Feb 24th 1939, aged 74 years.

Reginald John was born in the first quarter of 1880 to James and the late Jane Alexander (nee Guthrie). He was still living at home, according to the 1911 Census, at 2 Oxnam Crescent, Spital Tongues, Newcastle upon Tyne and was working as an Iron Merchant.

He served with the 1st/6th Battalion and was formerly (5086, Private) with the same regiment.
