There is also a stone vase in front of the headstone which bears his name.
John James was born at Newcastle upon Tyne in 1926, the son of Robert and Mary.
He enlisted with the 418/140th Heavy A.A. Regiment and died as the result of an accident.
James is listed on the Army Roll of Honour.
